| I
think that although we may never get a chance to meet in person, it's
important that you know a little about me before making a purchase. The
picture above shows (from left to right), my friend Larry Taylor, my web
master Chris Foot, Larry's brother, Dave Taylor and finally - me! My name
is Jay Frick and I'm from Greensburg, a medium-sized town about 20 miles
from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am a recently retired Buick mechanic,
having worked for a local dealership since 1962 (long time!). I have been
the shop foreman for the dealership for the last 20 years of my career.
When I started as a mechanic, I always jumped at the chance to work on
the muscle cars of the 60s and 70s. What a deal! I worked on many tri-power
Pontiacs and a lot of various dual four engines. I've also been under
my share of Buick GSs and Turbo Regals. I purchased my first new Grand National in 1985 and, like many, got hooked on these wonderful cars. I purchased another new Grand National in 1987, which I still own today. I also have another car (another 1987 Grand National, of course), which I use as a daily driver and a test vehicle for new performance parts. I only sell performance parts that I personally test. It is important for me to have a strong working knowledge in the parts I offer to others. I'll be more than happy to tell you what works - and what doesn't. I started Jay's GN Parts and Repair to offer performance parts and dress up accessories to my friends in the local area. I started small with a total investment of $200.00. I have grown somewhat since then, but I have never forgotten what is important - having fun and watching others have fun with these Turbo Regals. It's the people I have met through Jay's GN Parts and Repair that are important to me, not just the business. I have been a vendor at the GS Nationals for the last 5 years and look forward to once again seeing everyone there. Please feel free to stop by and talk turbo. I am always willing to answer questions on these cars. Although no one can truly be an expert, I have learned quite a lot in these past 40 years as a Buick mechanic. If I can help you, I will. If you would like advice, don't hesitate to e-mail me at jaysgn@westol.com or give me a call. Thanks for stopping by, Jay Frick |
