Lou's car is a 231 bored .030 over, TRW pistons, Speed Pro Rings, standard crank with king bearings on rod and main, steel billet main bearing caps, A.R.P. studs and bolts, high volume oil pump with adjustable regulator, balanced and blueprinted motor, Eastern Performance race heads that have been CNC ported and larger stainless steel valves installed, T&D 1-65 adjustable roller rockers, Eastern Performance ported and flowed intake, ATR race cam, 55 lb injectors, Red Armstrong strip/street chip, 65 MM Kenne Bell throttle body, Eastern Performance front mount intercooler, Turbonetics 62-1 big shaft turbo, ATR stainless steel headers, 3 inch exhaust, XP in-tank full pump, Bosch external pump providing 70 PSI at WOT, Art Carr transmission, 9 inch Art Carr non-lockup converter, 3.42 rear end gears with an LPW rear end girdle and Hochkiss upper and lower control arms. Here's Paul Beal from Canada smoking the tires on his 1986 Buick Grand National. Paul's GN has a re-worked set of heads, TE-44 turbo, Eastern Performance intercooler, Art Carr 9" converter and a Ford 9" rearend turning a set of 3.50 gears. Here's a picture of "Fast Freddie" Ziegler and his 1987 Grand National at Norwalk Raceway Park. At the time of this picture, the motor, turbo, intercooler and torque converter were stock. It had a 3" two piece down pipe, Modern Musclecar in tank fuel pump, BGC
adjustable fuel press. reg., adj. wastegate set at 22 lbs, blue top injectors, K&N cone filter, and 28x10" slicks. It ran a best of 12.03 @ 111.01 mph, 1.64 60 ft. with a Red's 108 chip and Cam2 purple race gas. Fred is from Oregon, Ohio. The 1987 Grand National has LOW miles, a set of re-worked heads, stage-4 turbo, alcohol injection, 3" downtube, 3" exhaust and a host of other goodies. A very fast Turbo Regal that can be used as a daily driver. This car has it all!
